Need a Computer? Write an Essay
runs 2/24/2007 until 4/15/2007 WINTER HAVEN
Computers for Kids Inc., a non-profit organization with the mission of providing refurbished computer systems to underprivileged school-age children, will be hosting an essay contest open to all low-income Polk County students in grades six through 12 who do not currently have a computer at home. The topic of the essay is "How a Home Computer Will Benefit My Education and My Family." The prizes to be awarded include:
Hewlett Packard computer system, donated by CDN Partners Inc.
Labtec Flat Panel Computer Speaker System.
Encyclopedia Britannica Ultimate Reference Software.
Keyboard, mouse, speakers combo package.
Two large pizzas.
