AMI Lakeland is currently looking to fill a part time position: MOTIVATIONAL INSTRUCTOR

AMI Lakeland is looking for a person that can motivate and hold accountable youth (ages 14-18) in a structured, behavior modification program. The individual must be able to keep the attention of the youth while at the same time teach specific skill classes. The position is for a part time instructor that can work 15-20 per week, (3:00/4:00pm) – (6:00/7:00pm): Mon-Fri. The hourly rate is based on experience and education ($8 to $11 per hour). Due to contact requirements, this position must be filled with a male instructor.

ESSENTIAL OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures the safety and supervision of all students in accordance with all-operational policies.
• Assumes and assist with responsibilities of the Director of Operations in his/her absence as directed.
• Facilitates and participates in staff meetings and staff training sessions.
• Makes a positive impact on the Institute Staff through role modeling, development and motivation through continuing education, training, and performance appraisals and agreements.
• Assists in the implementation of new policies and procedures.
• Serves as advisor and positive role model for assigned students.
• Prevents and intervenes in student altercations and incidents.
• Assumes supervision responsibilities for absent instructor as directed by supervisors.
• Actively participates and acts as lead supervisor in trips, special activities that involve recreational sports, facility and equipment cleaning, grounds maintenance, and equipment relocation that may require sleeping in tents, boats, institutes, etc. under varying weather conditions and that may require extended 16-hour workdays/24 hour on-call status.
• Must have or be able to get CDL license. Drives institute vehicles as required in accordance with the Van Policy.
• Satisfy criminal background check and drug screening per state requirements.
