About the Financial Advisor Practice Management Development Program (PMDP)
Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, the largest business of its kind in the world, provides individuals and businesses
with a customized approach to financial preparation. This highly entrepreneurial business model relies heavily on our Financial
Advisors and the one-to-one relationship they develop with clients.
The Financial Advisor begins at Merrill Lynch as a Practice Management Development (PMD) Financial Advisor Trainee (job
description attached). This paid developmental program provides successful candidates with the training, education,
mentoring, and resources to acquire the knowledge, licenses, registrations and critical skills necessary to launch a career as a
Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor. In short, the Practice Management Development program is all inclusive and supports
Financial Advisor participants up to 43 months depending upon licensing and past experience.

Three or more years of sales experience. No prior licensing or recent experience as a Financial Advisor is necessary,
however, trainees are expected to complete education and developmental activities that give you a foundation of
financial planning skills and prepare you for the Series 7 General Securities and the Series 66 Insurance exams.
Successful completion of the exams to become a fully licensed and registered Financial Advisor is expected within 4
months.

Great American Teach-In - August 22, 2011
Crystal Lake Middle School invites you to a celebration of Crystal Lake Middle School Great American Teach-In. The event will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 – Time 9:00am at Crystal Lake Middle School in Lakeland, Florida.
The GATI is an all day event, however, you don’t have to be here all day. If you could donate at least an hour of your time, we would be extremely grateful. You can speak about your career, educational or life experience and achieving your objectives. As this is a community event, you will have the opportunity to interact with a number of Community Leaders: School Board Officials, City and County Commissioners.

Lakeland Vision- Executive Director Job Description 2011 - August 19, 2011
Lakeland Vision, Inc. is seeking an executive director to manage the daily operations of the 501(c)(3) community development organization. The individual in this role is responsible for working with a volunteer board of directors and leading an organization established to implement the community’s vision for its future. (For more information on that vision, see: www.LakelandVision.org) This is a part-time position, with the opportunity to advance to full-time.
Responsibilities include:
Working with diverse volunteer board members, committee members and community stakeholders to pursue shared goals.
Relationship-building throughout the community, often involving after-hours events and activities.
Implementation of various media tools, such as organization’s website, social media networks and a monthly radio program.
Scheduling, coordinating, and executing meetings and events, including preparing agendas, arranging materials, supporting volunteers, etc.
Office management, including accounts payable, equipment maintenance, filing, and database maintenance.
Qualifications:
Exemplary and diverse writing skills to compose press releases, formal business communications, informal daily communications and creative online media content.
Ability to develop relationships with individuals and organizations throughout the community.
Capable of facilitating dialogue.
Experience successfully engaging and motivating volunteers to work towards an identified goal.
Experience working with a volunteer board.
Basic bookkeeping management.
Understanding of database maintenance.
