Money 101: Securing Your Financial Future at Polk State College
Financial planning is not optional if financial security is important to you. Unfortunately, 54% of Americans have never tried to figure out how much money they will need for retirement1 and 40% of Americans do not have a budget2. If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.
The goal of this course is not to simply give you information; but to teach you the essential skills of personal financial management, and allow you to apply those skills in producing your own personalized financial plan with the help of a professional, in class!
When you understand how to manage your finances, you will have an invaluable tool in taking control of your life. Proper financial planning can provide peace of mind, increased buying power, and a secure future. Every person has limited resources. VII. What Will Happen To My Money When I’m Gone?
VIII. What is My Financial Plan?
Course Objectives:
Upon completion, all participants will have developed their own financial plan and have the skills and confidence to reach and maintain good financial health.
